ELMHURST, Ill. – Elmhurst University Athletics has announced its 2026 Blue and White Hall of Fame Class, featuring four former Bluejay standouts whose accomplishments left a lasting mark on Elmhurst Athletics.
The 2026 class includes Jenny Morin (women's soccer), Andrew Cook (football), Herb Washington (men's track and field) and John Sprik (football and wrestling).
The class represents four Bluejay programs spanning across nearly three decades of Elmhurst Athletics. Our four inductees combining for All-America honors, NCAA Championship appearances, all-conference accolades and numerous marks that remain in the Elmhurst record books.
"This year's Hall of Fame class represents the tremendous history and tradition of Elmhurst Athletics," said Director of Athletics Dr. Glen Brittich. "Jenny, Andrew, Herb and John each distinguished themselves through outstanding accomplishments during their time as Bluejays, and their achievements continue to be an important part of the history of their respective programs. We are excited to recognize their accomplishments and officially welcome them into the Blue and White Hall of Fame."
Jenny Morin | Women's Soccer | 1996-99
One of the most accomplished offensive players in Elmhurst women's soccer history, Jenny Morin starred for the Bluejays from 1996 through 1999. A 1997 All-CCIW honoree, Morin remains Elmhurst's all-time leader in points (161), goals (66), game-winning goals (15) and assists (29).
Morin's name also remains prominent throughout the program's single-season record book. She holds Elmhurst records for points (68), goals (27), game-winning goals (6) and assists (14) in a season, with all four marks coming during the 1996 campaign.
Her record-setting performances extended to the single-game level as well. Morin owns program records for points in a game (14), goals in a game (5) and assists in a game (4).
Andrew Cook | Football | 2002-05
A standout on the offensive line for the Bluejay football program from 2002 through 2005, Andrew Cook earned recognition at the conference, regional and national levels during his Elmhurst career.
Cook was a two-time All-CCIW selection, earning both First Team and Second Team honors. His accomplishments extended beyond the conference as he was named to the D3football.com All-Region Second Team and earned Don Hansen All-America honors.
Herb Washington | Men's Track & Field | 2002-05
Herb Washington established himself as one of the premier sprinters in Elmhurst men's track and field history during his career from 2002 through 2005.
Washington earned All-America honors in the indoor 55-meter dash after finishing fifth nationally. More than two decades after his Elmhurst career, Washington continues to hold program records in both the indoor 55-meter dash and outdoor 100-meter dash.
Washington's connection to Elmhurst has continued beyond his accomplishments on the track. He is a recipient of the University's Alumni Merit Award and Senior of the Year Award and has remained involved with the University through service on the Alumni Merit Awards and Senior of the Year Committee.
John Sprik | Football/Wrestling | 1978-81
A two-sport standout for the Bluejays from 1978 through 1981, John Sprik made his mark as a member of both the Elmhurst football and wrestling programs.
On the football field, Sprik competed at tight end and linebacker and was a two-time Second Team All-CCIW selection.
Sprik was equally accomplished on the wrestling mat, qualifying for the NCAA Championships three times during his Elmhurst career. Ranking 13th in program history with 85 career victories and fifth all-time with an 84.2 winning percentage.
The 2026 Blue and White Hall of Fame Class will be officially inducted on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. on the campus of Elmhurst University as part of the University's Homecoming celebration.
