CAROL STREAM, IL - Elmhurst was unable to keep pace with Millikin's offense, falling after a high-scoring contest of 18-5.
The Bluejays generated offense across the lineup, Javier Cervantes led the way with a three-hit performance and an RBI, while Evan Johnson added a hit, a run scored, and an RBI. Marty Fraga tabbed a hit and an RBI, with Konrad also scoring a run. Timothy O'Connell scored once and drew a walk, while Connor Drowns added a hit and a run scored. Elmhurst also showed extra-base ability, with triples from Konrad and Cervantes, and applied pressure on the bases with a stolen base by Brett Vercruysse.
On the mound, Jack Krueger took the loss after allowing seven earned runs over 4.0 innings, striking out two. Jack Goergen followed with 1.0 inning of relief, recording three strikeouts, while Fox Weymouth and Robert Drake combined to cover the middle innings. Drake allowed just one earned run over 2.0 innings with a strikeout. Alex Rzonca closed out the game, working 1.0 inning.
The Bluejays return to the field traveling to Chicago to face off against North Park at 4:00 pm April, 21st.
