ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Elmhurst would match their all-time program record when the Bluejays tallied 27 goals on Saturday afternoon, cruising to a 27-0 road win at Augustana in CCIW play.

The Jays' fifth straight win matched the season's longest win streak to date, and was the fourth time in program history that Elmhurst scored 27 goals in a game. Following the win, the Bluejays have outscored their CCIW opponents this season by a combined 52-2  through two matches.

Elmhurst would score 11 goals in both the first and second periods to take a 22-0 lead into the break; Hunter Hernandez would score four of the first five, recording a hat trick in less than three minutes of play. Early in the second quarter, Brent Diehl scored three straight, and finished the day with a team-high five goals.

Hernandez collected five goals and an assist to match Diehl's scoring total, while Fischer Son and Eli Spence each scored four. Diehl, Hernandez, Son, and Spence all finished with six points apiece.

The Bluejays return home for their next match, as they close out the non-conference portion of the schedule with a visit from Colorado College on Thursday, April 16. Faceoff with the Tigers from Langhorst Field is set for 7:30 p.m.
