ELMHURST, Ill. – The Bluejays would post their highest point total in over a year, as Elmhurst cruised to a 14-5 win at home over Augsburg (Minn.) at Langhorst Field on Sunday afternoon.

A trio of Bluejays would record hat-tricks in the win, with Olivia Ingraffia, Hannah Jacob, and Zoe Valdevenito all posting three goals apiece. Valdevenito pitched in with two assists, finishing with five points overall, while Grace Lorkiewicz also posted five points with two goals and a game-high three assists.

The Bluejays held Augsburg scoreless until the last second of the first half, opening a 6-0 lead that included a woman-down goal from Ingraffia in the second quarter. The Aggies picked up a goal at the buzzer to make it a 6-1 game at the break.

A pair of goals from Lorkiewicz in the third period, including another woman-down goal, highlighted a run of five unanswered for the Jays to start the second half. The Aggies responded with three straight early in the fourth quarter, but Ashley Kay, Ingraffia, and Jacob all found the back of the net one more time to close out the win.

Following the win, the Jays will prepare for a three-match road swing to close out the non-conference portion of the schedule. First up for Elmhurst is a trip to Notre Dame, Ind. to take on Saint Mary's College on Saturday, March 21.
