ELMHURST, Ill. – The Bluejays would rally back from a four-goal deficit to take the lead in the fourth quarter, but visiting Hope (Mich.) scored three of the last four goals of the match as Elmhurst fell at home in overtime, 11-10 to the Dutchmen.

Landon Davis would lead the Jays with four goals on the day, with Kyle Taylor recording two goals and an assist. Eli Spence and Fischer Son would each record a pair of goals as well.

The Dutchmen struck early, with a goal inside the opening minute, but Son would tie the game shortly after. Both sides would battle to a 2-2 draw through the first quarter, before the Jays took a 3-2 lead early in the second period, on the second straight goal from Davis.

Hope would take control of the match with a run of five unanswered goals, building a 7-3 lead. Son would get one goal back before halftime, giving the Dutchmen a 7-4 lead at the break.

The Bluejays bounced back in the third period, with two goals from Taylor highlighting a 5-2 Elmhurst run. Spence's first goal of the day late in the third would even the score, 9-9.

Spence answered again with the first goal of the fourth period to give the Bluejays the lead again, but two strikes from Hope would put the visitors up late, 11-10 with 4:09 to play.

Davis would tie the game with a goal at the 1:35 mark, and the match would go into overtime, but Hope would get the game-winner just under a minute into the extra session to close out the win.

The Bluejays will look to bounce back next Saturday, March 21, when they travel to Kenyon (Ohio).
