ELMHURST, Ill. – Quickly falling behind in the opening minutes, Elmhurst Women's Lacrosse struggled on the attack, falling on the road Thursday night at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, 16-3.
The home side would score three goals in the opening four minutes of play, and lead the rest of the night after out-scoring the Bluejays 6-1 in the opening period. Zoe Valdevenito got Elmhurst on the board with her first-period goal, followed by scores from Hannah Jacob and Andrea Murtland.
Goalkeeper Jacq Vanoni finished with 20 saves on the night, just one short of her career high.
The Bluejays will look to bounce back when they return home on Sunday afternoon, March 15, to face Augsburg (Minn.) beginning at 1:00 p.m.
