Elmhurst University Athletics enters the week of September 22–28 with another full slate of competition, highlighted by Monday's home men's soccer match against Illinois Tech, which will serve as Youth Soccer Night at Langhorst Field. The Bluejays also host women's soccer and women's tennis at home during the week while volleyball, football, and cross country travel for road tests.
Women's Golf
The Bluejays finished tied for 25th of 39 teams at the Midwest Region Classic last weekend and placed fourth earlier in the week at the CCIW Preview. Elmhurst is back on the course Thursday, September 25, at the Wisconsin Lutheran Quadrangular in Wauwatosa, Wis., before heading to Madison, Wis., to open play at the Edgewood Invite on Sunday, September 28.
Women's Tennis
The Bluejays are back in action this week with three conference road matches: at Carthage on Wednesday, September 24 (time TBA), at North Park on Friday, September 26 at 3:00 p.m., and at Carroll on Sunday, September 28 at 10:00 a.m.
Women's Soccer
Elmhurst women's soccer picked up a pair of victories last week, defeating Kalamazoo 1-0 at home on Wednesday before earning a 3-0 road win at Olivet on Saturday. The Bluejays return to Langhorst Field on Tuesday, September 23, hosting Beloit at 7:00 p.m. Elmhurst then heads on the road for a conference matchup at Wheaton on Saturday, September 27, with kickoff set for 4:30 p.m.
Men's Soccer
The Bluejays dropped matches at Lake Forest and Illinois College last week. Elmhurst opens this week with a special promotion, hosting Illinois Tech on Monday, September 22, at 7:00 p.m. for Youth Soccer Night at Langhorst Field. The Bluejays close out the week with a Saturday night road match at Wheaton, set for 7:00 p.m.
Volleyball
Elmhurst volleyball battled through a challenging Elmhurst Invitational last weekend, falling to Aurora, Olivet, and Lawrence after a narrow midweek defeat to North Park. The Bluejays travel to Bloomington on Wednesday, September 24, for a 7:00 p.m. CCIW contest at Illinois Wesleyan. Over the weekend, Elmhurst competes at the Lakeland Triangular in Plymouth, Wis., facing Ripon at 2:30 p.m. and the host Lakeland at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27.
Football
Elmhurst football dropped its CCIW opener last Saturday at Illinois Wesleyan, 42-6, following a home win over Rockford the previous week. The Bluejays continue league play on the road Saturday, September 27, with a 6:00 p.m. kickoff at North Park in Chicago.
