Five Bluejays Earn USTFCCCA All-Midwest Region Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Five Bluejay student-atletes from the Elmhurst University women's track and field team earned All-Midwest Region honors from the United States Track and Field & Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), as announced by the organization Wednesday afternoon.

Alyssa Busker, Lauren Marshall, Chloe Selmer, Paulina Tinajero, and Nakala Nadeau all earned regional honors from the organization after ranking in the top-five in the Midwest region in their respective events. 

Busker earned honors in the 60m and the 200m, topping the Midwest region performance lists in each event. Her marks of 7.45 and 24:31 in both the 60m and 200m, respectivley, are both Elmhurst school records, and ranked second in the NCAA this season. Marshall joined Busker in the 60m with the fourth-best mark in the Midwest and the ninth-best mark in the nation in the 60m (7.58). The senior also ranked fourth in the long jump with a mark of 5.83m.

Nadeau earned her third-straight All-Region honors in the 60m Hurdles, ranking fifth in the region with a mark of 8.85. Tinajero and Selmer each ranked second and third, respecitlvey, in the long jump in the Midwest, with Tinajero posting a 5.89m leap and Selmer a 5.86m mark.

Busker, Marshall, Selmer, and Tinajero are set to compete in each of their all-region events this Friday and Saturday, March 14-15, at the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships in Rochester, N.Y.
