NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The Elmhurst University women's track and field team delivered a strong performance at the NCC F. Lee Slick Invite, securing multiple top finishes and setting several personal and season bests.
The day began with the 60m dash, where Lauren Marshall sprinted to victory in 7.65 seconds. Alyssa Busker posted an impressive 7.61 in the prelims, while Chloe Selmer (7.91) and Jasmine Pickett (8.26) recorded personal bests, with Selmer's time ranking as the seventh fastest in program history.
In the 60m hurdles, Nakala Nadeau claimed second place with a final time of 9.01 after running 8.97 in prelims. Brooke Greaves followed in third with a 9.07, having set a personal best of 9.02 in prelims, now the third fastest in Elmhurst history. Anna Andretich finished seventh with a personal best of 9.36 in prelims, ranking sixth all-time for the Bluejays, while Caroline Slater also recorded a personal best of 10.77 in the prelims.
Carmela Woods delivered a season-best 25.77 in the 200m, securing fourth place. The Bluejays dominated the 400m, with Alyssa Busker winning in 58.42, the second-fastest time in school history. Woods followed closely in second with another season best of 58.66, while Violet Schramm placed seventh in a personal-best 1:04.73.
In the 800m, Nayeli Villegas placed 11th with a 2:29.77, while Keagan Burke ran a personal-best 2:33.51. The mile race saw strong improvements across the board, with Jade Benavides (5:36.56) and Jessica Solar (5:36.86) achieving personal bests in 12th and 13th place, respectively. Meredith Mounier (5:46.15), Lauren Snelgrove (6:01.42), Elizabeth Jones (6:07.51), Alexis Rivas (6:07.86), and Annie Hathaway (6:09.14) all notched season or personal bests.
Molly Roberts led the way in the 3000m, finishing first in 10:40.12. Esther Brown (8th, 11:05.39) achieved a season best, while Katie Nalley (11:18.69) and Alyssa Roelli (11:20.46) both set personal records.
In field events, Elmhurst had a strong showing in the high jump, with Angelina Camaci, Hailey Caraway, and Caylah Boyd all clearing 1.54m, placing third, fifth, and eighth, respectively. Caroline Slater recorded a season best of 1.34m. In the long jump, Paulina Tinajero took second with a leap of 5.83m, followed by Chloe Selmer in fourth (5.58m) and Lauren Marshall in fifth (5.55m). Vanessa Carr placed 10th at 5.22m, while Sherlyn Carrasco set a personal best at 5.19m.
Kate Weber cleared a season-best 3.36m in the pole vault to finish seventh. In the shot put, Caroline Slater threw 10.62m for eighth place. The triple jump saw Elmhurst secure top spots, with Selmer taking first (11.39m), Vanessa Carr placing third with a season-best 11.23m, and Tinajero finishing fourth at 11.21m.
The relays closed out the meet, with the "A" squad of Gianna Konieczny, Violet Schramm, Sherlyn Cebrero Flores, and Sadie Hartmann finishing fifth in 4:18.42. The "B" squad of Keagan Burke, Paige Rewerts, Sabrina Kadow, and Jessica Solar placed seventh with a time of 4:38.43.
