ELMHURST, Ill. -Â The Elmhurst University women's volleyball team put on a dominating display Saturday evening, sweeping away Knox College inside R.A. Faganel Hall.
Elmhurst (7-6, 0-2 CCIW) came out hot, holding the Prairie Fire (0-13) under ten points in each of the first two sets with 25-8, 25-9 wins, and fighting back in set three to secure the sweep, 25-17.Â
Blair Johnson led the Jays with ten kills and just one error on 12 attempts, while
Elise Rossing and
Ally Severino grabbed six kills each. Overall in the match, 15 different players recorded a kill.
Gianna Ptaszek tallied a team-high 10 kills, while Elmhurst had 19 service aces on the night, led by six from
Alexis Casey and four each from
Savannah Davis and
Antriana Larkou.

Elmhurst returns to conference action next Wednesday, October 2, on the road at nationally-ranked Millikin University for a 7:00 pm first serve.
