ELMHURST. Ill. - The Elmhurst University men's soccer team hosted Kalamazoo College for their home match this Sunday afternoon.
The Bluejays (5-2-2), lone goal came from
Maciej Rzadkosz as he slotted home a penalty kick goal in the 50'
The Hornets (3-2-1), goals came from Henry Plumstead 32' and Evan Pollens-Voigt in the 70'.
It was a fast paced game with the Hornets controlling most of the of the first half of play, capping it off was Plumstead as he scored the opening goal in the 32'. In the second half, the Bluejays would begin to hit stride as they were able to get many chances on the offensive side of the pitch. Rzadkosz was able to slot home the game tying goal in the 50' off of a penalty. But in the end the Hornets would pressure the Bluejays into submitting a goal off of a corner by Pollens-Voigt in the 70' to earn them the 2-1 win.
