ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst University men's soccer team fell, 0-2, in their CCIW opener to Wheaton College Saturday evening.
Elmhurst (5-3-2, 0-1-0 CCIW) totaled 18 shots on the evening, but put just four on target, and was kept off the scoreboard for just the second time this season.
Wheaton (4-4-1, 10-0 CCIW) scored both goals in the first-half, taking the lead in the seventh minute and extending it to 2-0 in the 29th minute.
Maciej Rzadkosz and
Ryan Nguyen each tallied three shots to lead the Jays on the night.
Niyen Ruffins tallied six saves on the evening.
UP NEXT
The Bluejays dip back into non-conference action next Wednesday, Oct. 2, hosting Illinois College at 5:00 pm.
