ELMHURST, Ill. -Â Elmhurst University and Director of Athletics Dr. Glen Brittich have announced the hiring of Jason Suerth as Elmhurst's next head men's golf coach.
"We are extremely excited to bring in Coach Suerth to lead our golf program. Coach Suerth has a great amount of knowledge of the game of golf and we are really excited about the direction of this program under his leadership" Dr. Brittich said. "We are looking forward to our student-athletes greatly benefiting from Coach's expertise."
Suerth joins the Bluejays with a wealth of knowledge in the golf world, having served as a full-time Honor Caddie at Medinah Country Club since 2009. At Medinah, Suerth also serves as the head caddie trainer, teaching new recruits on fundamentals of how to be a caddie. Suerth has also served as a caddie at Old Collier Country Club in Naples, Fla. from 2020-21, and at Olde Florida Country Club since 2022.
"I am excited for the opportunity to be the next head men's golf coach at Elmhurst, and I want to thank Dr. Brittich for giving me this opportunity. I am looking forward to working with the student-athletes and competing this upcoming season" Suerth said.
Suerth attended Mississippi State University from 2009-11 before coming back to Illinois to complete his degree at College of DuPage. Suerth earned an associate degree in General Studies from COD, and also studied Business Marketing with a concentration in PGA Golf Management. Suerth has also successfully passed his PGA Playing Ability Test (PAT), and is an avid golfer himself as a former competitive player in amateur tournaments.
