ELMHURST, Ill. -Â The Elmhurst University baseball team returned to Butterfield Park Tuesday afternoon, falling to North Park 1-12 in eight innings.
Elmhurst (6-18, 2-6 CCIW) was able to keep pace with the Vikings through two innings, but back-to-back innings giving up three runs blew the game open for the visitors, allowing them to earn the run-rule win.
Elmhurst tallied just four hits, with two of them coming from
Jaden Mitchell who also batted in Elmhurst's only run of the contest. On the mound,
Zach Keplar took the loss for Elmhurst.

Elmhurst stays home to host Carthage College in a doubleheader this Saturday, April 13, beginning at 1:00 p.m. CT.
