ELMHURST, Ill. -Â The Elmhurst University men's lacrosse team picked up their fourth-straight win Saturday afternoon, a 15-10 victory over Oberlin College at Langhorst Field.
The Bluejay offense scored early and often, with
Chris Haycock tallying a team-leading four goals in the game, while
Eli Spence spaced his offensive output out between a pair of goals and three assists.
Hunter Hernandez also scored a pair of both goals and assists, while seven other Bluejay tallied goals in the contest.
Tony Vazquez on 17-of-27 faceoffs and grabbed 14 ground balls in the process, while
Charlie Ferree,
Austin Evans, and
Max Ridenour forced a pair of Oberlin turnovers.
Andrew Lacksonen improved to 3-0 in goal with a three-save effort, while
Noah Mickelson also tallied three saves in goal. Elmhurst improved to 4-1 on the season with the victory.
Oberlin (3-2) had three players score multiple goals, with Ryan Blasberg leading the way with three goals and two assists, while Gavin Girard forced six Bluejay turnovers in the contest.
Elmhurst jumped out to a 4-0 lead thank to a pair of goals from Hernandez and one each from Haycock and Cullen Mcmananman, and held a 4-1 advantage through one period. Elmhurst would score five in the second and head into halftime with a 9-3 lead.Â
In the third, the Bluejays continued to pile it on with another five goals, including the first collegiate goal from Feree, and despite being outscored by Oberlin 7-6 in the final two quarters, Elmhurst held on for the five-goal victory at home.

Elmhurst will hit the road for a three-game stretch, beginning next Wednesday, March 13 at Benedictine for a 7:00 p.m. faceoff.
