Lisle, Ill.- The Elmhurst men's lacrosse team beat Benedictine University on Wednesday night, 14-4 at the VLB Sports Complex.
Bluejays (5-1), were led by
Eli Spence as he scored six goals and had one assist on the night.
Jake Grebe had two goals and two assists,
Charlie Ferree added two goals with an assist,
Kaden Ames had three assists along with
Chris Haycock adding two assists of his own.
Hunter Hernandez,
Parker O'Leary,
Ryan Swank, and
Ethan Stepanek all added a goal in the contest.
Tony Vazquez won 16 of 20 faceoffs for a .800% win rate, and
Andrew Lacksonen made five saves and is now 4-0 on the season.
Eagles (1-4), Ben Zimmerman led the way for the Eagles with three total points with a goal and two assists.
The Eagles opened up the scoring just after a minute and a half into the game, Spence would tie the game just 30 seconds later and Stepanek would add another just after. The Eagles would add a couple to take a 3-2 lead but this would be their last lead of the night. The Bluejays would go on to add seven straight goals to end the first half up 9-3. The second half would bring more of the same as the Bluejays would add five more goals to take a commanding lead and never look back as they would finish the night with a 14-4 win over the Eagles.

The Bluejays will travel to Concordia Wisconsin on March 16th for a 12:00 pm. start time in the second game of their three-game road trip.
