Elmhurst Ill. - The Elmhurst men's lacrosse team hosted Southwestern University on Saturday morning defeating them 15-9.
Bluejays (8-2), were once again led by
Eli Spence as he scored two goals and added four assists, along with
Hunter Hernandez who had five goals and one assist.
Kaden Ames and
Chris Haycock added three goals of their own,
Parker O'Leary added one goal and two assists as well.
Ethan Stepanek scored one goal and both
Ryan Swank and
Brenden Crouse had one assist on the day.
Tony Vazquez went 15 of 28 in faceoffs and
Andrew Lacksonen made 10 saves on the day.
Pirates (2-10), was led by Jackson Strauser who scored three goals on the day.
The Bluejays would take commanding lead to start the game as they would go on to score four straight goals and they only goals of the first quarter. In the second the Pirates would claw back and score five straight of their own taking a 5-4 lead. The Bluejays and Pirates would go back and fourth to a tied 6-6 game at the half. To start the third the Pirates would come out and take the lead but after that it was all Bluejays as they would go on to score nine straight goals and end up winning 15-9.

The Bluejays will be back in action as they will travel to Carthage to start CCIW conference play on Saturday, April 6th at 4:00 pm.
