GREENWOOD, Ind. - The Elmhurst University women's volleyball team landed four student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team (CSC AAD), as announced by the professional organization Tuesday afternoon.

Graduate student Kali Phillips, senior Kellyn Kennedy, junior Keely Larson, and sophomore Blair Johnson all earned places on the list after excelling both on the court and in the classroom during the 2024 season.

To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must have above a 3.50 grade point average and have participated in 90 percent of the sets or started 66 percent of the matches played during the 2024 season.

Phillips earns her second-career CSC AAD honor after earning the team's lone All-CCIW honor this season. Phillips earned her first-career accolades from the CCIW in being selected to the second team for the 2024 season. Phillips was an everyday starter on the right side for the Jays, totaling 180 kills, 38 digs, and 25 total blocks on the season. In league matches this season, Phillips ranked fourth with a .300 hitting percentage, and fourth in total kills with 68 in CCIW games. 

Kennedy earns her second-career CSC AAD honor as one of the Bluejays' starting setter, finishing her playing career 10th all-time in career assists, totaling 1,733 in her time at Elmhurst. Kennedy earned Elmhurst's RESPECT Award from the CCIW, given to the player on each conference team that distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust.

Larson earns her second-career CSC AAD honor after excelling as a middle hitter for the Bluejays last season. Larson led the Bluejays with 52 total blocks and a .317 hitting percentage, and ranked fifth on the team in kills (141) and aces (30). Johnson earns her first-career CSC AAD honor as a right-side hitter for Elmhurst, tallying 152 kills and 29 blocks on the season.
