CHICAGO, Ill. - The Elmhurst University women's volleyball team played to a pair of 3-0 sweeps over Illinois Tech and Marian on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the IIT Tri-Match.
Elmhurst improved to 14-11 overall on the season after the sweeps, securing a winning record for the second-straight season.
The Bluejays began the day with a dominating three-set win over Marian, who fell to 9-19 overall with the loss. Elmhurst cruised to set wins of 25-11, 25-13, and 25-17. Elmhurst held the Sabres to a .111 attack percentage, while the Bluejays recorded just six attacking errors in the match for a .444 hitting percentage.
Elise Rossing led the way with 13 kills and just one error, while
Keely Larson tallied 10 kills to just one error.
Gianna Ptaszek had a match-high 12 digs and two service aces, while
Freddie Temple had three service aces to go with 16 assists.
Against the host Illinois Tech, the Bluejays again comfortably took the match, taking set one 25-15 and fending off a fight from the Scarlet Hawks in the second with a 25-21 win, while set three went 25-11 in favor of Elmhurst. IIT fell to 14-14 with the loss.
 Match two was led by
Jada Wiley with 10 kills and four blocks, while Ptaszek recorded 10 service aces, the fourth-most in a single match in Bluejay history.

The Bluejays end their season and celebrate Senior Night next Wednesday, November 6, hosting UW-Whitewater at 7pm.
