WHITEWATER, Wis. - The Elmhurst University women's volleyball team fell, 1-3, to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Saturday afternoon.
The Bluejays (10-4, 0-2 CCIW) suffered their first consecutive loss of the season to the hands of UW-La Crosse (13-7, 0-2 WIAC).
Elmhurst was led by a pair of double-double performances from
Jada Wiley (16 kills, 19 digs) and
Aly Reardon (12 kills, 11 digs), while
Kellyn Kennedy tallied a season-high 40 assists in the match.
The Bluejays were competitive in both of the first sets, eventually falling into a 2-0 hole to UW-La Crosse. However, a strong third set offensivley from the Bluejays allowed Elmhurst to take the third set, 25-17, and stay in the match. After another competitive set, the Bluejays were uable to hold off a late surge and fell in the final set, 25-23, dropping the match 1-3.

The Bluejays are back in action next Friday, Oct. 6, welcoming Carroll to R.A. Faganel Hall for a 7:00 p.m. CT first serve.
