Waukesha Wis. - The Elmhurst University men's soccer team beat Carroll University, 3-2, Saturday afternoon.
The Bluejays (2-6-2, 1-1 CCIW) had three goal scorers on the day, one each from
Roland Dearborn,Â
Maciej Rzadkosz andÂ
Jonathan Mueller, with assists coming from Rzadkosz and Alan Lopez. The Bluejays had 14 shots on the day with four coming from Mueller and three coming from Rzadkosz. The Bluejays also had seven corner kicks on the day.Â
The Pioneers (5-7, 1-2 CCIW) were led in scoring by Josh Gonzaga and David Serra Dizy, with assists coming from Zane Walters and Marti Solanellas.Â
Gonzaga got an early goal for the Pioneers, the Bluejays then got two gaols before the end of the first half with goals from Dearborn and Rzadkosz. The Pioneers would then tie the game up just minutes into the second half with a goal from Serra Dizy, but just minutes later Mueller would send another shot into the back of the net and the Bluejays would hold off the Pioneers for their first CCIW win of the season Â
