ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst University women's volleyball team dropped an 0-3 decision to RV North Park University Wednesday evening inside R.A. Faganel Hall.
Elmhurst (8-2, 0-2 CCIW) was unable to outlast the Vikings (10-1, 0-2 CCIW), with both teams hitting below .200 on the match. The Bluejays were leb by
Jada Wiley (Seven kills, 12 digs) and six kills from both
Elise Rossing and
Aly Reardon. The Vikings used a stellar performance from Adriana Rodriguez, who tallied 16 kills and 10 digs on the evening.
The Vikings came out firing in the first set, winning by a sound margin of 25-14, but Elmhurst fought back in the second set. After going down 6-14 to the Vikings, Elmhurst rallied off a 6-1 run to cut the deficit to three. After a service error from Reardon brought North Park within three of taking the set, the Bluejays rallied off five-straight points to take a 23-22 lead. However, three-straight points from the Vikings gave the visitors set two, 25-23, and continued to roll with a 25-19 third set victory, taking the match via sweep.

Elmhurst will welcome Alverno College for a Saturday evening matchup on Saturday, Sep. 23, with first serve set for 6:00 p.m. inside R.A. Faganel Hall.
