ELMHURST, Ill. -Â College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin action will begin this week for both soccer programs, while volleyball and football continue to ramp up conference action with homecoming on the horizon this week.
FOOTBALL
After a tough loss at Augustana last Saturday, Elmhurst will look to bounce back as they host the top-ranked North Central College Cardinals for a 2:00 p.m. CT kickoff at Langhorst Field. This week is also homecoming on the campus of Elmhurst University, with special fesitivites planned all week long.
MEN'S SOCCER
After enduring a pair of road non-conference losses last week, Elmhurst men's soccer will look to bounce back this week. Elmhurst will play host to Dubuque for a 5:00 p.m. kickoff on Wednesday, Sep. 20, before beginning CCIW action at North Central on Saturday, Sep. 23.
WOMEN'S SOCCER
The Bluejays played just one game last week, a 1-4 defeat at Lake Forest College, and will stay on the road this upcoming week for a pair of matches. Elmhurst will travel to Eureka College on Wednesday for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff, and will join the Bluejay men at North Central on Saturday, opening CCIW action at 12:00 p.m.
VOLLEYBALL
Bluejay women's volleyball endured their first loss of the season last week, a 1-3 loss at Millikin to open CCIW action. However, the team bounced back with a pair of victories over Benedictine and Lake Forest on Sep. 16.
This week, Elmhurst will open home CCIW action hosting North Park on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m., and will welcome Alverno College at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, where the team will also honor the 40th anniversary of the 1983 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball championship team.
MEN'S GOLF
After a 13th place finish last week at the Carthgae Fall Invite, Bluejay men's golf will head to Brighton Dale Links in Kansasville, Wis. for the NCAA Midwest Regional Classic on Friday and Saturday, Sep. 22-23.
