EUREKA, Ill. -Â The Elmhurst University baseball team fell, 4-9, to Eureka College Tuesday afternoon in the team's non-conference finale.
Elmhurst (14-20, 5-11 CCIW) fell behind early and could not claw back from a 5-0 second inning deficit despite a late rally attempt in the ninth. The Bluejays tallied just four hits in the contest, while Eureka (12-23) knocked 13 hits including six doubles.
Ryan Thrawl,
Lucas Pasakarnis, and
Michael Campanaro all earned RBI in the game, with Campanaro knocking a solo home run in the seventh inning.
Logan Leach earned the start for the Bluejays, pitching all eight innings and giving up eight earned runs to fall to 0-4 on the season.

The Bluejays will wrap up the regular season with a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin doubleheader at Wheaton College (IL) on Saturday, May 6 beginning at 1:00 p.m. CT.
