ELMHURST, Ill. – The Elmhurst University women's track and field team is sending three athletes to the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships in Birmingham, Alabama next weekend.
Nakala Nadeau will compete in the 60-meter hurdles and
Alyssa Rafuse will run the women's mile.
Ava David will be competing in the 200-meter dash and the 400-meters.
All three of these athletes have broken school records this season. David broke her previous 200-meter time at the Wartburg Final Qualifier this past weekend with a 25.13 and her previous 400-meter time at the Aurora Grand Prix with a 56.26.
Nadeau broke the 60-meter hurdle time at the North Central College Slick Invite by .37 seconds with a time of 8.76 seconds.
Rafuse broke the school record in the mile run twice this season. Her fastest time was at the conference championship at Illinois Wesleyan University on Feb. 25 with a time of 4:57.59.
Competition starts in Birmingham on Friday, March 10.
