ELMHURST, Ill. – Keep up with all of the Elmhurst University athletic teams and take a look at the week ahead with the Bluejay Weekly.

MEN'S LACROSSE

Last week, the Elmhurst men's lacrosse team dropped their first game of the season to Aurora University, 8-10, to move to 5-1 on the season. Despite the loss, the Bluejays still hold the best record in the CCIW with Carthage also at 5-1 on the season.

This week, the team will head to Texas for their spring break trip for a pair of matchups. Elmhurst will first face off against Southwestern University at 7:00 p.m. CT in Georgetown, Texas on Wednesday, March 22. The trip will finish with a game against Whittier College at 5:00 p.m. in the same location on Saturday, March 25.

BASEBALL

The Bluejay baseball team is in the Sunshine state this week for their annual trip down south, and began the trip on Sunday, March 19 witha doubleheader split against Bard College, winning the first game 4-0 before dropping an 8-10 decision in game two. The Bluejays sit at 4-7 overall on the season to date.

Elmhurst will play four games in the next three days to finish their Florida trip, beginning on Monday, March 20 with a doubleheader against Hobart College. On Tuesday, March 21, a matchup with SUNY Old Westbury at 9:15 a.m. CT is set, and the team will wrap up competition on Wednesday, March 21 against Bowdoin at 9:15 a.m. CT.

SOFTBALL

After the scheduled doubleheader at Aurora University on March 19 was postponed due to weather, the Bluejays will hit the field for the first time in over two weeks down in Florida. To kick off competition on their spring break trip to Florida, the Elmhurst softball team will play a doubleheader against UW-Stevens Point and Wesleyan University, with game times set for 1:00 and 3:30 p.m. CT.

The team will then face Luther College at 8:00 a.m. CT on Thursday, March 23 before another doubleheader on Friday, March 24 against Manchester University and Carleton College at 12:00 and 2:30 p.m. CT. Elmhurst faces off against Bates College and Colby College on Saturday, March 25 at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. CT and wrap the trip the next day against Tufts University and Westminster College at 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. CT.
