LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Elmhurst University men's basketball team cruised to an 87-63 road victory at Transylvania Thursday evening.
Elmhurst (2-0) led for all but three minutes in the contest, with the Bluejays opening an 18-point halftime lead and maintaining the healthy lead for their second win on the young season.
Tagen Pearson highlighted a trio of Bluejays in double-digit scoring with a game-high 19 points to go with five rebounds, two steals, and two assists.
Matt Woloch (16 points, eight rebounds) and
John Ittounas (13 points, two assists) joined Pearson with double-digit scoring nights, while
Jonathan Zapinski contributed a game-high 11 rebounds and
Dominic Trelenberg joining Woloch with five assists in the game.
Overall, 14 different Bluejays saw the floor in the game, including the debuts of newcomers
Robert Roszkiewicz,
Aidyn Boone, and
EJ Marshall, helping contribute to 32 bench points from the Bluejay reserves.
