ST. LOUIS, Mo. -Â The Elmhurst University football team were shut out, 0-66, Saturday afternoon at Washington University in St. Louis.
The Bluejays (2-6, 1-6 CCIW) were smothered on the offensive side, being unable to find the end zone in the game, and were held to just six first downs. The Bears (6-2, 5-2 CCIW) had a huge day offensively, totaling 411 total yards with 281 of those yards in the rushing game.Â
Defensively,
Jesse Smith and
Jace Zeffiro put up matching 12-tackle performances, with two tackles for loss each.
Bryce Gable tallied eight tackles, with five solo, and recorded his second interception on the season.
Jake Masco also tallied two tackles for loss, while
Chris Reaves grabbed an interception to go with a pair of tackles.Â
UP NEXT
Elmhurst will head back to Langhorst Field for the final time in 2023 next Saturday, Nov. 4, welcoming in North Park for a 1:00 p.m. CT kickoff. The game will also be Elmhurst's senior day.
