NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Elmhurst University men's soccer placed five student-athletes on the 2023 All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin list, according to a Friday morning announcement by the conference office. 

Maciej Rzadkosz earned First Team All-CCIW honors as a defender, while Jonathan Mueller (Forward), Luis Aviles (Forward), and Ilija Jerinic (Midfield) earned Second Team honors from the conference. Senior defender Edmund Conroy was the Bluejays' RESPECT Award recipient.

Rzadkosz earned first team honors after leading the Bluejay defense in the 2023 season, playing a team-high 1,578 minutes. The Palos Hills, Ill. native tallied three goals and four assists this season, and captained the Elmhurst defense that held opponents to a 1.89 goals allowed average. 

Aviles earns second team honors after his strong play in CCIW action led to a team-high four goals in the conference season, including two game winners. Aviles also ranked second on the team in shots on goal this season with 12 shots on frame.

A first team honoree last season, Jerinic earned second team all-CCIW honors in 2023 thanks to contributing ten points to the Bluejay offense this season, ranking third on the team, and also ranked second with 12 shots on target. 

Mueller earned second team honors after being the Bluejays' top contributor on the offensive side. Mueller contributed a team-high eight goals and 20 points this season, which is also good for fifth in the CCIW in the goals category. Mueller ranked fourth in the conference with 54 shot attempts this season.

Conroy earned Elmhurst's RESPECT Award, given to the player on each conference team that distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust.

The Bluejays are set to take part in their second-straight CCIW Tournament beginning this Saturday, Oct. 28, as the fifth-seeded Bluejays travel to Kenosha, Wis. to take on the fourth-seeded Carthage Firebirds at 7:00 p.m.
