ELMHURST, Ill. -Â The Elmhurst University women's volleyball team fell in four sets to Carthage College Wednesday evening inside R.A. Faganel Hall.
Elmhurst (13-8, 1-5 CCIW) fought back to earn a third-set victory and led by as many as nine points in the fourth, but the Firebirds (15-11, 5-2 CCIW) clawed back from the large deficit and took the match, three sets to one.
The Bluejays found ten kills and six blocks (three solo, three assisted) from
Lucy Anderson, while
Aly Reardon tallied eight kills and 16 digs in the match. As a team, the Bluejays found 14 blocks in the match.
UP NEXT
The Bluejays are set to host four other teams in the Elmhurst University Invitational this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 27-28, beginning with a CCIW matchup against Wheaton College on Friday with first serve set for 2:00 p.m. CT.
