ELMHURST, Ill. – The Elmhurst University men's soccer team dropped its conference-opener, 3-0, to North Central College at Langhorst Field.

Aidan Westerberg scored his first goal of the contest in the 13^th minute to give the Cardinals a 1-0 for the remainder of the half.

Westerberg tallied his second goal of the contest at the 59^th minute mark. Davis Nelson netted the third and final goal of the contest in the 66^th minute to secure the win for North Central (7-0-2).

The Bluejays (3-4-1) struggled offensively getting only two shots off compared to the Cardinals 16.

Noah Reed collected nine saves in the loss, while Sid Marquardt earned the shutout with one save.

Elmhurst heads to Alma College for its next contest on Wednesday, September 28^th at 4:00 p.m.
