ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst University women's tennis team slipped to 6-2 on the season after suffering a 9-0 loss to North Park University 

In doubles play, Elmhurst's No. 1 pair of Jolene Neuhalfen and June Bering fell 8-2 to Hannah Zethreus and Marie Fuehrer 8-2. NPU's Carla Cazes and Olivia De Luca stopped Elmhurst's Julia Kostadinova and Brynn Rubacky 8-3 at No. 2. Megan Engstrom and Silvia Barak fell 8-1 to Nina Kisin and Maddie Starr at No. 3 doubles. 

In singles play, Neuhalfen dropped a tightly contest match to Cazes at No. 1, falling 3-6, 6-2, 6-10. Zethreus downed Kostadinova 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 while Fuehrer stopped Rahman 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 Kisin defeated Bering 6-3, 6-3 while Starr downed Rubacky 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5. De Luca stopped Barak 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.
