ELMHURST, Ill. – The Elmhurst University men's soccer team dropped a non-conference contest to the University of Dubuque, 2-1, at Langhorst Field.
Dubuque (4-2-1) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half after a pair of goals by Gavin Wooldridge in the 19
th and 42
nd minutes of play.
Alan Lopez-Paredes put the Bluejays on the board with 10 minutes left in the contest after finding the back of the net off of a cross by teammate
Hernan Garcia.
The Spartans outshot the Bluejays (3-3-0) 21-11, but Elmhurst finished with six corner kicks compared to Dubuque's two.
Noah Reed collected 13 saves for the Bluejays, while Christoffer Rastock earned the win in goal for Dubuque with six saves.
Elmhurst is back in action at Langhorst Field on Monday, September 19 at 4:30 p.m. against the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
