LAKE FOREST, Ill. –
Ilija Jerinic scored with just over seven minutes remaining to lift the Elmhurst University men's soccer team to a 1-0 shutout win over Lake Forest College.

Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first half with Lake Forest (0-4) holding a 6-3 edge in shots in the opening 45 minutes.

The second half was scoreless for the first 37 minutes before
Cailan Loebel assisted on Jerinic's fourth goal of the season to life Elmhurst (3-1) to the 1-0 victory.

Lake Forest held a 10-9 edge in shots while the Bluejays totaled a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.

Noah Reed earned the shutout for the Bluejays, playing all 90 minutes and recording four saves.

Elmhurst hosts Kalamazoo College on Wednesday, September 14.
