ELMHURST, Ill. – The Elmhurst University women's lacrosse team suffered a 25-0 loss to Carthage College at Langhorst Field.
The Bluejays (0-9) were led by
Corinna Salmon and
Marie Corpuz who each picked up four groundballs.
MC Brown finished with a team-high two caused turnovers.
Seven different Firebirds scored in the win for Carthage (12-1). Leading the way with five goals apiece were Margaux Giacotto, Hanna Holloway and Maddie Berni. Holloway also picked up a team-high four groundballs. Rachel Harris finished with a game-high five assists, while also chipping in two goals. Elizabeth Oda contributed four goals, while Emma McDonald and Lauren Fleming each added in a pair of goals in the win.
Salmon collected eight saves in the loss for the Bluejays, while Alessandra Almendarez earned the shutout for Carthage.
Elmhurst looks to bounce back in its next matchup against Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday, April 20 at 7:00 P.M. at Langhorst Field.
