WHEATON, Ill. – The Elmhurst University women's track and field team totaled 120.5 points to win Wheaton College's Al Carius Old Fashion Track Meet.
The Bluejays finished first through third in the long jump.
Amanda Lams won the event, leaping to a distance of 5.28 meters on her final attempt.
Francesca Scarabaggio finished second with a jump of 4.97 meters while
Marisa Brown placed third with a mark of 4.96 meters.
Erin Matthias added a fifth-place finish with a jump of 4.63 meters. Lams also won the triple jump with a mark of 10.88 meters. Brown added a third place finish with a distance of 10.18 meters.
Elmhurst with three top-five finishes in the high jump.
Stefania Camaci won the event by clearing a height of 1.55 meters.
Sarah Stephens finished second after clearing a height of 1.50 meters. Two Bluejays earned top-five finishes in the pole vault.
Kelsey Becker placed fourth after clearing a height of 3.05 meters.
Grace Tu finished fifth after clearing 2.75 meters.
Lauren Marshall placed second in the 100 meters, finishing the race in 13.06 seconds.
Sabrina Urban added a sixth-place finish in 13.71 seconds. Elmhurst also finished with four top-six finishes in the 200 meters.
Ava David won the race in 25.30 seconds while
Huda Hussaini placed fourth in 26.50 seconds.
Karmyn Flesch placed fifth (26.82 seconds) and
Hanna Matuszewski finished sixth in 26.94 seconds.
Elmhurst had a strong showing in the hurdles as well.
Nakala Nadeau placed second in 15.47 seconds while
Edith Mercado finished third in 16.15 seconds. Mercado added a second-place finish in the 400 hurdles, placing second in 1:10.33.
Venezia Munoz and
Lauren Mack finished second and third, respectively, in the 800 meters. Munoz finished in second in 2:26.01 while Mack placed third in 2:26.78.
The Bluejays finished with four of the top five spots in the 1,500 meters. Emily Clauen won the race in 5:05.02 while
Elita Spadlowski placed third in 5:16.54.
Noelle Veome finished third in 5:22.18 while
Katie Nalley crossed the finish line in fifth place with a time of 5:22.38.
Esther Brown won the steeplechase in 12:47.56, adding eight points to the Bluejays' team total.
The Bluejays won both of the relay races on the night. Elmhurst's 4x100 relay team of Hussaini, Scarabaggio, Matuszewski and David won the event with a time of 49.28 seconds. The 4x400 squad of Flesch,

Stacia Landry and Munoz won the race in 4:13.79.
