WAVERLY, Iowa –
Ava David ran school record best times in both the 60-meter dash and 200 meters at the Wartburg University Qualifier, giving her a pair of top-10 times in the nation and likely spots in the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.
In the 60 meters, David qualified for the finals with a preliminary heat time of 7.83 seconds, but then broke her own school record and established a new meet record with a blistering time of 7.67 seconds in the final.
She also bettered her school-record mark in the 200 meters, placing second in the event in 25.34 seconds which also currently ranks her in the top-10 in the nation.
Amanda Lams placed 12th in the triple jump, finishing with a mark of 10.97 meters.
Stefania Camaci cleared a height of 1.61 meters to place fourth in the high jump.
Nakala Nadeau placed 11th in the 60 meter hurdles, finishing her heat with a time of 9.15 seconds.
The NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship participants will be announced next week and the championships will take place
