ELMHURST, Ill. - Elmhurst University's Amanda Lams has been named a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Week. 

Lams, a senior from Westchester, was selected as the Field Ahlete of the Week after her performance in the jumps at this weekend's University of Chicago Windy City Rumble. Lams set a personal-best and improved upon her own school record in the triple jump, leaping to a distance of 11.44 meters. She also competed in the long jump and narrowly missed a lifetime best by just two centimeters, recording a distance of 5.35 meters. Lams currently owns the top mark in the CCIW in both events and is currently ranked 18th nationally in the triple jump. 

Lams has totaled five all-conference honors in her track and field career. 

The Bluejays will compete at Illinois Wesleyan's KECK Invitational on Saturday, February 12.
