ELMHURST, Ill. – Keep up with all of the Elmhurst University athletic teams and take a look at the week ahead with the Bluejay Weekly, released every Monday afternoon.

This week (December 19-23), the Bluejay men's and women's basketball teams hit the road to participate in holiday tournaments. The women's team heads to sunny Daytona, Fla. for two games on Monday, Dec. 19 and Tuesday, Dec. 20, while the men head to Charlotte, N.C. for two games on Dec. 20 and Wednesday, Dec. 21.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

Last week, the Elmhurst University men's basketball team dropped a CCIW matchup against the North Central College Cardinals 78-71 inside R.A. Faganel Hall on Saturday, Dec. 17. Overall, the men stand at 7-3 and 1-3 in CCIW conference play heading into the final stretch of non-conference games.

This week, the men will be competing in the first ever Jay Bilas Classic hosted by Queens University of Charlotte. A matchup with the current number one team in the nation, Christopher Newport, awaits the Bluejays on Tuesday, Dec. 20, with tipoff scheduled for 5:00 p.m. CT. The following day, Elmhurst will take on the University of Lynchburg at 5:00 p.m. CT to wrap up their trip to Charlotte. Fans can watch the games HERE, and also follow live stats HERE. WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Last week, the Bluejays dropped a hard-fought conference matchup to North Central 76-58 inside R.A. Faganel Hall. On the season, the women are 1-8 and 0-4 in the CCIW.

The Bluejays will look to get back on track as they wrap up their non-conference schedule in the coming weeks, beginning this Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 19 and 20, as the Bluejays will compete in two matchups in Daytona, Fla. Elmhurst will take on SUNY Brockport on Monday, Dec. 19 at 4:00 p.m. CT to begin the tournament, and will take on either Nazareth College or Thiel College on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at either 11:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. CT.
