DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Elmhurst University men's soccer team fell 3-1 to the University of Dubuque at Oyen Field.
The Bluejays (4-4-2) led 1-0 within the first two minutes when
Adam Greer scored his second goal of the season off of assists by teammates
Raffa Consalvo and
Noah Backhaus.
The Spartans controlled the rest of the game offensively. In the 24
th minute of play, Dubuque (5-3-1) tied the match up at one apiece with a goal by Joel Skog-Johansson.
Just a minute before the break, Draek Littler scored his first of two goals in the contest off of an assist by fellow Spartan Alessandro Corazzina.
Dubuque extended its lead to 3-1 in the 59
th minute with Littler's fourth goal of the season with an assist by Roody Joinvil.
Elmhurst's
Noah Reed tallied eight saves while Dubuque goalkeeper, Matt Marchiori, earned the win with four saves.
The Bluejays are back in action at Langhorst Field on Saturday, October 2 for a CCIW matchup against North Park University.
