ELMHURST, Ill. - Elmhurst University's Noah Reed has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Defensive Player of the Week in men's soccer.

Reed, a junior goalkeeper from Kenosha, Wis., earned the first Player of the Week honor after helping the Bluejays post a 2-0-1 record in three games last week. For his part, Reed allowed just goal and recorded a pair of shutouts in goal. 

On Wednesday, he recorded four saves in a 0-0 draw of Lake Forest College. On Friday, Reed stopped three shots while helping the Bluejays blank Geneva College (Pa.) on the road. He capped the week by stopping two shots and allowing just one goal in a 4-1 road win at Chatham College. Through five games played this season, Reed owns a goals against average of 0.95.

The Bluejays own a 3-2-1 record and travel to Kalamazoo College on Wednesday, September 15.
