Elmhurst men's basketball coach John Baines has announced his 2021 recruiting class that has made a commitment to attend Elmhurst University and also play basketball for the Bluejays.
 

Townes Ballard - Dallas, Texas/Highland Park (6-6, 210 lbs. - Forward)
Earned a varsity letter at Highland Park High School. 
Baines on Ballard: "Townes comes from a bright basketball family and has a big upside. He brings some size to our line-up and is very skilled for a player of his build. By all accounts, he has a phenomenal work ethic and is extremely coachable. We envision him making a huge jump his freshman year and beyond."

Qati Dalipi - Westmont, Ill./Westmont (6-6, 212 lbs. - Forward)
Earned three varsity letters from Westmont High School...named to all-conference and all-area squad as a junior while averaging 16 points and 10 rebounds per game...named to all-conference and all-area teams while averaging 20.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game...earned all-state honorable mention honors as a senior. 
Baines on Dalipi: "Qati is an extremely exciting commit for us. He has tons of skill for a big and has a huge ceiling. As he improves his health and conditioning, he's going to make an impact on our roster. A guy with his potential really makes you want to coach him."

Braden Flanagan - Olney, Ill./Richland County/Sullivan (Ind.) (5-11, 155 lbs. - Guard)
Earned three varsity letters from Richland County High School...named to first-team all-conference squad as a sophomore and junior...earned second-team all-conference accolades as a freshman...broke the 1,000-point career scoring mark during his junior year...played his senior season at Sullivan High School Indiana...named to named to all-conference squad and earned honorable mention all-state honors as a senior. 
Baines on Flanagan: "Braden plays like the quintessential coaches son. He is tough, fundamental and an awesome teammate. In order to play during the COVID year, Braden went to Indiana and was thrust into a unique situation. Once he gets comfortable with the adjustment to college basketball, Braden is going to be a fine player."

Kole Hornbuckle - Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern (6-6, 190 lbs. Guard)
Earned three varsity letters from Hamilton Southeastern High School...named to all-conference and all-county first teams as a senior...earned honorable mention all-state accolades during his senior season. 
Baines on Hornbuckle: "To say Kole is going to make a major impact in our program would be a gigantic understatement. Kole is a big guard with athleticism, shooting ability and handles. He can be a force on both ends of the floor and can play multiple positions. He is a high character guy, a wonderful student and comes from a great family. I'm so excited to see Kole's development at Elmhurst."

Reece Talyor - Phoenix, Ariz./Saint Mary's (6-5 Forward) 
Earned three varsity letters from Saint Mary's High School...named to the all-region squad as a junior....Played basketball at Lake Forest College in 2019-20 and averaged 6.5 points and 2.8 rebounds per game...totaled a career-best 21 against Elmhurst on November 26, 2019. 
Baines on Taylor: "We first got a taste of what Reece can do when, ironically, we played against him. He scored 21 points against us in 2019 with a combination of dunks and 3-pointers.  The more we have gotten to know Reece, the more we are convinced he will become a fabulous player in the Bluejay uniform. He is a versatile forward that plays both ends of the floor well. He's hard worker, smart person and has been brought up well. It's really going to be fun coaching Reece."

Brent Wolff - Arlington Heights, Ill./Hersey (6-1, 190 lbs. Guard)
Attended Hersey High School and earned three varsity letters in basketball. 
Baines on Wolff: "Brent follows in his cousin's, Jay Brizzolara, footsteps as a Bluejay player. Brent can really shoot the 3PT shot and has great range. He should really develop as the other facets of his game improve in college."

Matt Woloch - Arlington Heights, Ill./Prospect/IMG Academy (Fla.) (6-1, 190 lbs. Guard)
Earned varsity letters at Prospect High School...named to all-conference and all-area teams during his senior year...named his team's MVP on IMG's Post Grad Elite Squad.
Baines on Woloch: "Matt is a basketball junkie and the type of player that continues to get better. Matt played last season at IMG Academy and really transformed his game. He is a strong, athletic play maker and shows signs of being a top-notch teammate. His passion to become the best player he can really intrigues our staff. We are thrilled to get to work with Matt the next four years."
