KENOSHA, Wis. – The Elmhurst University baseball team slipped to 10-8 overall and 6-6 in the CCIW after dropping a 5-2 road game at Carthage College.

Carthage (8-6) scored twice in the first inning, moving in front on a Colton Klein RBI double and a Ben Levicki RBI single.

Elmhurst answered back to tie the score at 2-2 in the top of the third.
Troy Taller came in to score on a wild pitch and
Kevin Johlie scored on
Tyler Kledzik's grounder to pull Elmhurst even.

The Firebirds answered right back, retaking the lead on an RBI double from Levicki. Carthage added an insurance run in the fourth and another in the seventh to make the final score 5-2.

Carthage's Keith Kutzler kept the Bluejays in check, limiting Elmhurst to only four hits on the day. Kutzler tossed eight innings while walking one and fanning seven.
Taller recorded two of Elmhurst's four hits in the loss.

Alex Kielion made the start and took the loss for the Bluejays. Kielion worked 6.2 innings, scattering 11 hits and just four earned runs. He walked two and struck out five.
