DECATUR, Ill. - The Elmhurst University baseball team fell to 8-5 overall after dropping a pitcher's dual 3-2 to Millikin University. 

Elmhurst (4-4 CCIW) scored the game's opening runs, plating a pair in the top of the second. Freddie March singled home a run to start the scoring and Elmhurst added a run on a Millikin error to move in front 2-0. 

Millikin (12-3, 5-2 CCIW) pulled even with two runs in the fourth. Frank Bryan singled home a run and Kyle Kane doubled home a run to tie the score at 2-2. Millikin took the lead in the fifth on a Gabe Soria RBI single. 

The Bluejays left runners on base in each of the final four innings before falling 3-2 to the Big Blue. 

Alex Kielion pitched well for the Bluejays but took the loss. Kielion worked 6.1 innings, allowing just seven hits and three runs. He walked only one while striking out four. 

Tanner Coleman earned the win for the Big Blue, tossing five innings and allowing just three hits and one earned run. He struck out three while not issuing a walk. Evan Lawrence and Brent Beals pitched four scoreless innings of relief for the Big Blue. 

Elmhurst travels to Wheaton College on Tuesday, March 30.
