CAROL STREAM, Ill. – The Elmhurst baseball team dropped a 4-1 pitcher's dual to Illinois Wesleyan University.

Elmhurst (6-4, 2-2 CCIW) jumped out in front quickly with a run in the bottom of the first.
Carter Truong led off the inning with a single to right and took second on a wild pitch. Truong moved to third on a fly out and then scored on
Trey Romay's sacrifice fly.

Illinois Wesleyan (7-5, 2-2 CCIW)Â put together three hits in the top of the fourth to move in front at 2-1 after Will Kafer's RBI single. The Titans took advantage of an Elmhurst error in the eight to extend their lead to 3-1 after an Ethan Burgh RBI single.

The Titans added a run on a wild pitch in the top of the ninth to come away with the 4-1 victory.

The game was a pitching dual between IWU's Quinn Gudaitis and Elmhurst's
Alex Kielion. Kielion took the loss despite allowing just three earned runs over 8.2 innings. He walked one and struck out five. Gudaitis went the distance pitching a complete game and allowing just three hits and one run. He walked two and struck out 14.
