RACINE, Wis. - The Elmhurst University bowling team finished the 2021 CCIW Championships with a 1-2 record, moving to 18-9 overall this season.
Elmhurst opened the day with a 944-892 loss to Carthage College.
Annie Durava paced the Bluejays in the loss with a season-best 234.
Kiersten Henderson added a 190 and
Elena Vezmar bowled a 176.
Elmhurst bounced back with a win in the consolation bracket, defeating Illinois Wesleyan 868-589. Durava bowled a team-leading 183 while Vezmar rolled a 181.
Katherine Pettinger added a 178 for the Bluejays.
The Bluejays were eliminated from the conference championship with an 825-745 loss to Aurora.
Makaylah Jones led the Bluejays with a 173 while Henderson bowled a 159.Â
