BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Elmhurst University men's soccer team had its three-game winning streak snapped in a 3-0 road loss at Illinois Wesleyan University.

Elmhurst fell to 7-6-2 overall and 3-2-1 in league play following the defeat. Illinois Wesleyan upped its record to 4-7-1 overall and 3-3 in league play.

The Titans did all of their damage in the opening half. Dane Hoare staked IWU to a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute and Trevor Martin added a goal in the 16th minute to double the Titan's lead to 2-0. Donovan Malone added a goal in the final minute of the first half to give the Titans a 3-0 lead at the half.

IWU outshot Elmhurst 11-7. Elmhurst finished with 10 corners but could not convert on the set pieces.

Noah Reed recorded five saves in goal for the Bluejays while taking the loss. Ethan Fineman recorded four saves to earn the shutout for the Titans.

Elmhurst plays at Wheaton College on Saturday, October 23.
