BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Elmhurst University women's tennis team suffered a 7-2 setback at Illinois Wesleyan University. 
Elmhurst (1-4/0-4 CCIW) scored a win at No. 5 singles and No. 1 doubles. 
In doubles play, Elmhurst's duo of 
Julia Kostadinova and 
Isabella Rahman scored an 8-6 victory over IWU's Anna Cooper and Ashley Mohr at No. 1. At No. 2, Katelyn Heller and Amber Shuang toppled the Bluejays' pair of 
June Bering and 
Silvia Barak 8-0. IWU's Marissa Hagler and Mria Poehls downed Elmhurst's No. 3 duo of 
Bailey Ekstrand and 
Megan Engstrom 8-2. 
In singles play, Shuang toppled Kostadinova 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 while Cooper defeated Bering 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2. Barak fell 6-2, 6-4 at Ashley Mohr at No. 3 while Rahman dropped a hard-fought 6-4, 1-6, 4-10 decision to Heller at No. 4. The Bluejays scored their singles' point at No. 5 when Ekstrand defeated Hagler 6-1, 6-2. Poehls closed out singles play with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Engstrom at No. 6.
