DECATUR, Ill. - The Elmhurst University women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 setback at Millikin University. 

Elmhurst slipped to 1-3 on the season with the loss while Millikin moved to 6-1. 

In doubles play, Millikin's Emily Markus and Paige WIller stopped the Bluejays' pair of Julia Kostadinova and June Bering 8-0 at No. 1. At No. 2 doubles, Chloe Sabin and Nikol Obradovic defeated Elmhurst's Silvia Barak and Isabella Rahman 8-1. Elmhurst's No. 3 pairing of Bailey Ekstrand and Megan Engstrom fell 8-4 ato Shelby Jones and Taylor Milholland. 

In singles competition, Obradovic stopped Kostadinova 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 while Markus stopped Bering 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2. Brianna Barconi toppled Barak 6-3, 6-2 at No. 3 while Sabin upended Rahman 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4. Christina Boruna defeated Ekstrand 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 while Milholland defeated Elmhurst's Brynn Rubacky 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6. 

Elmhurst plays at Illinois Wesleyan University tomorrow (October 2).
