Courtney O'Donnell, a junior on the women's basketball team, has been selected as Elmhurst's Women's Sports Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the 2019-20 season.
The award is presented annually to one men's sports and women's sports student-athlete who excel in competition and in the classroom.
This season, O'Donnell averaged 10.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, the second-highest totals on the team. She reached double figures in scoring in 10 of the 20 games she played in, recording a career-best 22 points against the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on November 26, 2019.
She maintains a 3.99 grade-point average and could have graduated in just three years but will return next season for her final year of eligibility while completing a second major.
